Job summary

CVS Health seeks a visionary Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, guiding technical strategy and mentoring teams across frontend, backend, and DevOps.

You will champion AI-driven features, robust data integrations, and advanced orchestration, while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, and performance in a CVS Health environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full‑stack development, system architecture, and scalable applications.
• Mastery of modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep experience with server-side languages and microservices architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data feeds integration.
• Hands-on AI model integration into software products and orchestration frameworks.
• Public cloud expertise and strong CI/CD/DevOps tooling knowledge.
• Strong communication of architectural decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design, architecture, and development of highly scalable web applications from frontend to backend services.
• Architect and implement rich, interactive dashboards and user interfaces surface complex data insights intuitively.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and integration layers with diverse data objects and third‑party platforms.
• Champion AI/ML integration into core products to automate workflows and provide insights.
• Build advanced orchestration and MFT automations with proactive error handling and monitoring.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and IaC to ensure high availability and rapid releases.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and shape the technical roadmap with product leadership.
• Establish rigorous monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
