Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in New Jersey is seeking a motivated accounting professional with a degree and AP experience to support general ledger activities and month-end close. You will coordinate vendor payments, verify invoices, and help optimize cash flow while preparing financial reports.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree required or soon-to-be-graduate with internship experience.
• Experience with general ledger, AP, and month-end close is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger month-end close and assist with financial statements.
• Coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely invoice settlement.
• Review invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain records.
• Assist with cash flow optimization and balance sheet analysis.
• Prepare financial reports to support forecasting and decisions.
• Utilize Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Open to a 1-2 year person with an Accounting degree and has AP experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

• General ledger month end close, assist with financial statements, cash management, bank reconciliation, journal entries, AP, analysis of balance sheet, trial balance,
• Coordinate vendor payments, ensuring timely settlement of invoices
• Review and verify invoice accuracy, resolving discrepancies or issues as necessary
• Follow up on outstanding invoices, and maintain accurate records
• Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports to support decision-making and forecasting
• Strong Excel systems
