Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Proactive Security, to drive the AI security product portfolio. This role operates within a forward-deployed Pod model, embedding with product teams to build secure AI surfaces including hardened agents and guardrails across customer, merchant, and Dasher products.

You will co-lead the roadmap, collaborate across functions, and mentor engineers, maintaining high standards for security and reliability in a global delivery network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Security Product Engineer at Internet-scale.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or related field.
• Embed with product teams to design, build, and deploy security controls for AI products.
• Develop reusable “paved road” security solutions for AI products.
• Translate security and regulatory requirements into practical engineering controls.
• Hands-on experience securing LLM or agentic systems or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the technical direction and roadmap for secure AI Security Products.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Legal, Security Platform, Data teams.
• Execute cross-brand AI vulnerability discovery, remediation and risk reduction.
• Mentor and coach earlier career engineers to uphold excellence.
