Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Proactive Security, to execute on AI security product engineering in a forward deployed pod model. You will help build pave-road security controls directly into AI surfaces across consumer, merchant, and Dasher products to ensure a secure and resilient delivery network.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Engineering, Legal, Data, and Security teams, drive AI security initiatives, and mentor engineers to elevate security

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security product engineering at internet-scale organizations.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Security Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience embedding with product teams to design and deploy security controls for consumer, merchant, and Dasher products.
• Hands-on experience securing AI systems, including LLMs or agentic architectures.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive security roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the technical direction and roadmap for secure AI security products at DoorDash.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Legal, Security Platform, Data teams to enable secure-by-design AI products.
• Perform rigorous AI-enabled vulnerability discovery and automated remediation.
• Mentor and coach engineers to uphold high standards of operational excellence and software engineering.
