Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will serve as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor to build our next-generation platform and drive delivery of use cases into products aimed at helping people live healthier lives. This role involves creating Proofs of Concepts, driving delivery excellence, and partnering with IT leaders to enhance the digital ecosystem.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of hands-on cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-efficient APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years in an Agile development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and best practices.
Coordinate with team members to align on decisions and share technical insights.
Champion adoption of new technologies and practices to improve productivity and quality.
Mentor junior developers to grow their skills.
