Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, build, and deliver modern cloud-based applications within a complex distributed systems environment on Google Cloud Platform. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
7+ years delivering enterprise-scale software in distributed systems.
5+ years in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript).

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable software within Cost Estimation & Navigation AI portfolio.
Drive architecture across distributed services, APIs, and platform components.
Partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate priorities into production-ready solutions.
Provide technical leadership across complex initiatives and guide implementation decisions.
Define non-functional requirements, including performance, availability, and security.
Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering excellence through reviews.
