Job summary

LatchBio in Mission Bay, San Francisco, is seeking a high-impact Member of Technical Staff, Science to translate biological questions into benchmarks and lead a growing scientific team.

You’ll design benchmarks with engineers and scientists, partner on large-scale computing and AI inference, and explore new evaluation methods to measure improvements from training, while coordinating with internal data generation and drug development teams.

Qualifications

• Deep scientific expertise and ability to apply AI tools to biology.
• Strong coursework in math and CS with experience collaborating with scientists.

Responsibilities

• Design benchmarks with engineers and scientists, from questions and datasets to graders.
• Work with engineers on large-scale computing and AI inference infrastructure.
• Research new methods for evaluating scientific capabilities and improvements.
• Collaborate with internal data generation and drug development teams on experiments.
