LatchBio seeks an AI Neuroscientist to serve as the scientific authority on ground truth for AI agents across biological workflows. You will define gold-standard answers, design tasks spanning molecular to behavioral data, and curate multi-modal datasets.

Collaboration with software engineers and neuroscientists will shape benchmarks for normal and diseased nervous systems. You will judge agent reasoning, adjudicate claims, and push the field by calibrating uncertainty and selecting appropriate

Qualificações

• PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience or closely related field
• Hands-on neuroscience research with first-hand data analysis and a publication record
• Direct experience analyzing raw data in at least two modalities (electrophysiology, imaging, neuroimaging, omics, behavior)
• Deep expertise in at least one area (systems/circuit, cellular/molecular, clinical/translational, or computational neuroscience) and fluency across system levels
• Strong command of experimental design and statistics
• Proficiency in AI agent use and ability to judge model reasoning vs scientific validity
• Ability to calibrate confidence and communicate uncertainty

Responsabilidades

• Define what expert reasoning looks like for a research question or R&D decision and write gold-standard answers with defendable rationale
• Design realistic research scenarios across workflow from hypothesis to analysis and inference
• Curate multi-modal data bundles (electrophysiology, imaging, neuroimaging, omics, histopathology, behavior)
• Pair basic-science and disease tasks to test understanding transfers to pathology
• Partner with software engineers to build new workflows
• Test whether agents choose appropriate model systems and units of analysis and translate findings to human disease
