Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Licensed RN in Georgia with current BLS is required; BSN preferred, with two years of RN experience and additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP). Work hours are 7AM–5PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other clinical certification.
• Color vision may be required for specific units.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies in all nursing activities.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
