Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed RN in Georgia with BLS, and may hold a BSN with 2 years of RN experience; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other unit certifications are a plus.

Work hours are 7p-7a with weekend requirements; on-call not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other unit-specific certifications are a plus.
• Color vision required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and guidelines.
• Works within the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
