Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The role requires GA RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN and may pursue additional life-support credentials. This position is based in the Atlanta region with a focus on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
