Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, within the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program and current GA RN licensure, with BLS certification.

Work hours are 7:00am–5:30pm, with no weekend shifts and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as RN in GA.
• BLS certification is required.
• Active GA RN licensure in good standing with no limitations.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and guidelines, within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
