Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a Staff Mission Lead Systems Engineer for RF Systems to drive end-to-end mission success. You will collaborate with the Mission Architecture team during early formulation, shape technical baselines, and own design trades across hardware, software, and operations.

This role requires exceptional communication and the ability to lead complex, high-rigor space programs. You will interface with customers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to develop requirements

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher degree in engineering; 8+ years in complex system/mission architecture/spacecraft design, with government/commercial customer focus.
• Experience leading complex systems design as a technical lead (Chief Engineer/Lead SE) on multi-discipline programs.
• Experience with USG/IC acquisition programs and space systems development standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Mission Architecture during study efforts to develop mission concepts and baselines.
• Maintain mission-level system models including architecture, requirements, interfaces, and behavior models.
• Lead end-to-end technical ownership from concept to on-orbit operations for highly demanding missions.
• Translate customer objectives into clear, verifiable technical requirements and manage traceability.
