Job summary

Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT is seeking a Staff Relations Manager for year-round, in-person work. You will design, implement, and oversee staff relations programs, lead policy development and compliance, and provide advisory support to managers on conflict resolution and performance management.

As a trusted HR partner, you will conduct investigations, promote a respectful workplace, and coordinate learning initiatives with Learning & Development to strengthen leadership and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field and HR certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with a strong focus on staff relations.
• Demonstrated experience handling staff relations cases and conducting workplace investigations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, EEO).
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee Staff Relations programs promoting healthy, transparent communication between staff and leadership.
• Develop and communicate workplace policies, ensure compliance and fair processes.
• Lead investigations into staff grievances and potential misconduct.
• Advise managers on conflict mediation and performance management.
• Coordinate learning initiatives with Learning & Development for respectful workplace behavior.
• Support retention strategies and staff engagement across departments.
