Job summary

Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT, is seeking a Staff Relations Manager to lead a comprehensive staff relations program, develop policies, and oversee investigations. This in-person role partners with Learning & Development to drive training on respectful workplace behavior and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in HR with a focus on staff relations, excellent mediation and communication skills, and strong knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with focus on staff relations.
• Experience handling staff relations cases and workplace investigations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (ADA, FMLA, EEO).
• High integrity and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage a Staff Relations Program to support transparent communication.
• Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, engagement, and open feedback.
• Monitor trends and metrics to reduce risk and improve retention.
• Develop and communicate workplace policies and ensure compliance.
• Lead investigations into potential policy violations and misconduct.
• Oversee recognition and leadership development initiatives.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development on training for respectful behavior.
• Support retention efforts and cross-functional HR initiatives.
