You will recruit, train, and supervise maintenance personnel, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and uphold preventive maintenance initiatives year-round.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and quality in a luxury resort environment.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of a wide range of maintenance areas including general repair, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and building systems.
• Experience in hiring, training, and supervising employees is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with guests, staff, and vendors.
• Safety-oriented mindset with ability to enforce protocols and maintain documentation.
• Flexible schedule with on-call availability based on business needs.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and operate company vehicles per Utah requirements.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, manage, train, develop, schedule, and evaluate the maintenance department staff.
• Provide direct supervision to the assistant maintenance manager, supervisor, and staff.
• Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal checklists and projects.
• Coach staff in updated maintenance practices and standards.
• Provide support for technical problems, procedures, and parts procurement.
• Maintain property in an "as new" condition with strong attention to detail.
• Ensure safety protocols are met and documented annually.
• Form and adhere to annual operating budgets; assist with capital expenditure requests.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and subcontractors to ensure best services and pricing.
• Oversee contracted services and manage vendor relationships for quality and value.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of chemicals, supplies, tools, and repair parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
