Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Staff R&D Engineer in California to lead design and development of advanced medical devices. You will own DHF, apply VOC insights, and ensure GD&T compliance throughout prototyping, validation and risk management.

Collaboration across teams is essential in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 5+ years in engineering, a bachelor's in a related field, and strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project and Minitab.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
  • Proficiency in DFM, AutoCAD, GD&T, DHF, VOC and related design controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of innovative medical devices and solutions.
  • Develop DHF and manage design history files for new products.
  • Conduct VOC research and translate needs into product designs.
  • Apply GD&T and design controls; manage risk throughout development.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and drive validation activities.
  • Coordinate project timelines using MS Project and analyze data with Minitab.

We are seeking a Permanent Staff R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of innovative products and solutions using your expertise in DFM, Auto Cad, Machine Design, and other relevant tools.
  • Develop and manage design history files (DHF) for new products, ensuring all processes and specifications are properly documented.
  • Conduct voice of customer (VOC) research to understand customer needs and incorporate them into product designs.
  • Apply GD&T principles in product design and prototyping.
  • Implement design controls and risk management strategies throughout the product development process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve design and production issues.
  • Execute validation activities for new products, ensuring they meet all quality and performance standards.
  • Manage project timelines and resources using MS Project.
  • Use Minitab for statistical analysis in support of product design and validation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in DFM, Auto Cad, Machine Design, DHF, VOC, GD&T, Prototyping, Design controls, risk management, root cause, validation, MS Project, Minitab.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
