Job summary

Moog Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Staff Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of propulsion systems for DoD programs, missiles, and space missions.

You’ll translate customer requirements into robust, manufacturable concepts and guide cross-functional teams through conceptual design to production. This role requires 7+ years of experience (12 preferred), a BS in Engineering, strong communication, mentoring skills, and CAD proficiency (Teamcenter/NX).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• At least 7 years of progressive experience (12 years preferred), with 5 years of leading or supporting development projects.
• Experience interfacing with customers and demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach other engineers.
• CAD experience with Teamcenter/NX or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion design and development from concept through production.
• Oversee system analyses and component baselining with suppliers.
• Plan and drive design activity, build, and test campaigns to meet requirements.
• Mentor engineers and guide junior staff in propulsion design.
• Develop product requirements with customers and translate to actionable strategies.
• Present work to colleagues and customers.
