Moog Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Staff Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead propulsion design from concept through production, supporting DoD missions and space exploration.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with customers, and ensure designs meet cost, schedule, and manufacturing requirements. The role requires DoD clearance eligibility and a hybrid work arrangement at Niagara Falls with some travel to other Moog sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
• 7+ years progressive propulsion experience (12 years preferred), with 5 years leading or supporting development projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interface with customers.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor other engineers.
• Ability to learn new technical concepts and assess risks.
• Experience designing propulsion systems for large-scale, high-rate production with a DFM mindset is a plus.
• This position requires a full physical including bloodwork and pulmonary function testing.

Responsabilités

• Lead propulsion design from concept through development, qualification, production, and high-rate industrialization.
• Oversee system analyses, component selection, and alignment with suppliers to meet requirements.
• Drive detailed design verification plans, build and test campaigns, and ensure quality.
• Mentor and coach engineers; guide Teamcenter/NX CAD activities.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable development strategies and build customer contacts.
