Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive propulsion experience; 12 years preferred.
• Experience interfacing with customers and strong communication skills.
• Leadership experience and mentoring capability.
• Ability to understand new technical concepts and products; assess risks.
• Experience designing propulsion systems for high-volume production; DFM mindset is a plus.
• Full medical examination is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall propulsion design and development from concept to production for customer missions.
• Oversee detailed analyses to select and baseline components to fit system requirements.
• Drive detailed design verification plans and manage build and test campaigns.
• Mentor and coach other engineers in propulsion design.
• Guide engineers in Teamcenter/NX to generate concepts and drawings.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable development strategies and build customer contacts.
• Support pursuits and guidance to other Moog business units.
• Validate solutions with trade studies and analyses.
• Assist in interviewing and coaching junior engineers; present work to peers and customers.
