Job summary

Moog Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY, seeks a Staff Propulsion Systems Engineer to lead propulsion design for strategic missiles and exploration missions.

This hybrid role involves high-rate production planning and requires potential DoD clearance and access to export-controlled information. You will guide teams from concept through qualification and production, mentor engineers, and translate customer requirements into actionable development plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive propulsion experience; 12 years preferred.
• Experience interfacing with customers and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to understand new technical concepts and assess risks.
• Experience designing propulsion systems for large-scale high-rate production; DFM mindset is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion design and development from concept to production and potential industrialization.
• Oversee detailed system and fluid analyses to meet requirements.
• Drive design verification plans and manage test campaigns.
• Mentor engineers and guide CAD work in Teamcenter/NX.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable development strategies.
• Present work to colleagues and customers.
