Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff Project Manager Advanced Technology for the Orthopaedics group, based in Boston, MA or Gières, France. You will manage the pre-charter funnel, coordinate cross-functional teams across software, mechanical, and clinical groups, and drive projects toward charter readiness for NPD.

The role requires 5+ years in regulated product development, expertise in phase-gate processes, and strong program management skills in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in regulated class II/III or software-enabled products.
• Experience with phase-gate execution and design controls in a QMS environment.
• Deep understanding of regulated medical device product development and phase-gate execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the advanced technology pre-charter funnel and intake process for new opportunities.
• Prioritize pre-charter opportunities with platform leadership and stakeholders.
• Track progress and maturity of pre-charter activities and funnel status.
• Transfer charter-ready projects into New Product Development (NPD) with clear ownership.
• Lead project planning (charter, scope, WBS) and an integrated master schedule.
