Job summary

Render is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Render's datastores portfolio, with Postgres at the center. You will define what a modern managed database experience looks like and how it adapts to new state patterns from agents and data users.

You’ll drive architectural decisions with engineering to ensure durability, performance, and operational simplicity, while engaging customers and product teams to understand data needs and guide the datastores direction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Management, focused on databases, data infrastructure, developer tools, or platform products.
• Familiarity with Postgres architecture, operations, ecosystem, and production tradeoffs.
• Strong developer empathy for internal teams and customers, with architectural judgment.
• Track record turning ambiguous reliability problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Render's datastores, anchored on Postgres.
• Drive prioritization across data investments, balancing reliability work with product needs.
• Partner with Engineering & product teams to shape the technical direction of the data layer.
• Develop a strong point of view on evolving managed Postgres for AI-native workloads.
• Set standards for developer data experience with sensible defaults and abstractions.
