Job summary

Render is seeking a Staff- or Senior-Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Render's datastores centered on Postgres. You will define what a modern managed database experience looks like, including how agents and AI-native workloads influence usage patterns, while collaborating with engineering to shape architectural decisions.

You will work with customers and product teams to build a deep understanding of data needs, establish durability and performance focus, and drive decisions

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Management focusing on databases, data infrastructure, or platform products.
• Familiarity with Postgres architecture, operational model, and production tradeoffs.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Track record of turning ambiguous reliability problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and roadmap for Render's datastores, anchored on Postgres.
• Drive prioritization across data investments, balancing reliability work with product needs.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to shape the data layer's technical direction.
• Develop a POV on how managed Postgres should evolve for AI-native workloads.
• Set user-friendly data experiences with sensible defaults and abstractions.
