Job summary

Render is seeking a product engineer to own the Postgres platform and its end-to-end lifecycle for a large user base. You will operate and scale the Postgres fleet, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to product evolution as complexity grows.

You will partner with design, product, and other engineers to deliver robust data services, drive feature development, and participate in on-call rotations, shaping a scalable, high-performance cloud platform for developers.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating a PostgreSQL platform at scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed system design and operational excellence.
• Ability to design, implement and ship end-to-end data-intensive features.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Render Postgres fleet.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, other engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Help evolve and mature the Render Postgres product as it scales and increases in complexity over time.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Help shape team culture and practices as the company scales.
• Help evolve the Postgres product with new capabilities.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities with the rest of your team.
