Job summary

Deepgram is hiring a Staff Product Manager focused on product-led growth. You will own the growth of the developer's journey from first touch to committed customer — as much of that funnel as the team's size calls for — and you will build the product that moves it.

This is a founding-era team: the systems are young, the questions are not handed to you, and the person in this role defines what good looks like rather than executing someone else’s definition.

Qualifications

• PLG funnel metrics ownership: activation, conversion, retention; driven by experiments.
• All-around PM: set direction, decide under uncertainty, ship and show outcomes.
• Prototype and reason about engineering tradeoffs; ship without waiting for others.
• Build complete systems from scratch: instrumentation, data pipelines, experimentation platform.
• Genuine AI fluency: integrate AI into workflow and validate results.
• Question metrics rigorously; don’t take numbers at face value without validation.
• Clear communication with executives: lead with decisions and defend methods.

Responsibilities

• Grow the PLG funnel metrics and run experiments that move them.
• Own onboarding, developer console, and activation path; decide what ships and why.
• Build the complete system for measurement and optimization; deploy tools.
• Establish a weekly ship-and-measure cadence with hypothesis testing and results.
• Collaborate with developer relations, marketing, sales, and analytics on handoffs and definitions.
