Job summary

Confluent is seeking a Staff PM for Cloud Networking to own the platform strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will guide multi-year roadmaps, define architectural direction, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and security to shape a scalable networking surface.

You will mentor PMs, align stakeholders, and drive platforms metrics tied to revenue and cost efficiency while engaging strategic customers in high-level discussions with CTOs and engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a cloud infrastructure, platform, or networking product.
• Demonstrated track record of setting product strategy and roadmap at platform or portfolio scope.
• Deep fluency in cloud networking concepts: PrivateLink, VNet peering, Transit Gateway, Private Service Connect, DNS, security groups, CIDR/IP management.
• Experience serving enterprise customers with complex compliance and connectivity requirements.
• Proven ability to partner with engineering leadership as a co-decision-maker on architectural direction.
• Strong analytical foundation with cost/risk modeling and platform metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own the platform strategy for Confluent Cloud Networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Define frameworks and standards used by PMs and engineers to evaluate networking decisions.
• Drive architectural decisions in partnership with engineering leadership.
• Expand scope and identify adjacencies for future work.
• Develop the product team through mentorship and feedback on roadmaps and docs.
• Build cross-functional stakeholder alignment and present the platform vision to executives.
• Define and own success metrics at the platform level, linking milestones to revenue and cost efficiency.
• Engage with strategic customers and prospects in credible technical conversations.
