Job summary

Render is hiring a Staff Product Designer to own Agent Experience end to end. You will craft the programmatic interfaces across CLI, API, MCP, SDKs, and dashboards, ensuring a single, coherent product surface for developers and agents.

You’ll shape docs-as-experience and on-boarding flow, while maintaining a strong focus on access control and trust. We seek a senior designer with a demonstrated ability to design across GUI and non-GUI surfaces, own complex journeys, and influence across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience, ideally on developer tools, infrastructure, APIs, or similar technical products.
• Attention to detail across GUI and non-GUI surfaces; portfolio shows web UI work plus text-first thinking.
• End-to-end ownership of journeys across surfaces; model should be expressed everywhere.
• Genuine perspective on AI-native design and how it shows up for agents, not just humans.
• Comfort reading and collaborating around code; engineering alignment is key.
• Ability to define quality where no playbook exists and sustain it.
• Clear, direct communication and cross-org influence to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design the full programmatic interface across CLI, API, MCP, SDKs, Blueprints, and Skills to feel like one product.
• Design documentation as an agent-facing product, including Blueprints, Skills, and docs-as-experience.
• Close the human-operated gap in onboarding with code-described configurations and one-motion deployment.
• Design dashboards and surfaces to make agent work visible to humans, with rigorous UI for trust.
• Design agent auth and access with least-privilege concepts for safe operations.
• Align core platform objects (apps, services, environments) across UI, CLI, API, SDK, and dashboard.
• Surface agent-operable paths at moments of intent with actionable CTAs.
