Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer, Power Electronics in Phoenix, AZ. You will serve as the technical authority for spacecraft avionics programs, establishing architecture standards, guiding multiple programs, and delivering flight-grade hardware on schedule and within budget.

You will chair and drive technical reviews, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor project engineers to foster continuous improvement in engineering workflows and processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on systems engineering in spacecraft avionics or complex electronic systems.
• Expertise in multiple areas: requirements management, PCB/FPGA design, spacecraft electronics, or related fields.
• Strong experience with program-management and requirements tools (MS Project/JIRA/Confluence, EVMS, JAMA, Polarian).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical reviews and drive risk-mitigation activities.
• Excellent communication skills to present to executives and write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce avionics architecture standards across programs (interfaces, performance budgets, power/system partitioning).
• Oversee requirements management, traceability, and verification strategies across programs.
