Moog Space & Defense Group seeks a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to provide technical leadership in high‑reliability power electronics for spacecraft and defense systems. You will architect and deliver power conversion solutions and mentor engineers across systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and program teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years designing power electronics for aerospace/defense/high-reliability applications.
• Experience with DC‑DC converters and related power electronics circuits.
• Schematic capture and PCB design tools (Cadence Allegro, Altium, or similar).
• Simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices; MOSFETs required; IGBT/SiC/GaN beneficial.
• Experience through full product lifecycle from architecture to production.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high-reliability power electronics including DC‑DC converters and related subsystems.
• Guide PCB layout, thermal and EMI/EMC considerations, and hardware bring‑up.
• Lead integration, verification, and qualification activities.
• Develop specifications, design reviews, and verification documentation.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
