Huntress is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to work with the Identity Security Posture Management team. The role is fully remote and involves designing and developing innovative solutions to protect identities against cyber threats. You'll lead projects using Ruby on Rails and collaborate with security researchers to tackle emerging challenges.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in software development, with strong skills in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with AI coding tools. Huntress offers a remote work environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing complex software products.
• 5+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with AI coding tools, such as Claude Code.
• Experience with relational databases, such as Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end solutions using primarily Ruby on Rails.
• Implement efficient data pipelines to extract relevant information from massive amounts of noise.
• Collaborate with security researchers to understand hacking strategies and methods to combat them.
• Be a technical thought leader for your team, providing architectural and design direction.
• Continuously improve solution quality through code reviews and testing.
• Set standards for excellence and develop processes for efficiency.
• Lead junior engineers in larger projects.
