Faeth Therapeutics, a clinical-stage oncology company, seeks a Staff Software Engineer to shape core platform architecture and drive secure, high-performance growth. You will work in a small remote team, with broad responsibilities across the stack and a bias for ownership.

You will write production code in React, TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, and PostgreSQL on AWS, and lead architecture decisions, security, and performance improvements while mentoring others and embracing AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in web apps at scale.
• Experience in high-ambiguity environments with shifting priorities.
• Deep proficiency in modern web stacks (React, TypeScript, Node.js/NestJS, PostgreSQL, AWS).
• Proven ability to own system architecture and drive foundation-level decisions.
• Security-first mindset with knowledge of threat modeling and OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the architecture across data layer, API, frontend, and deployment infra.
• Build across the stack with production code in React, Node/NestJS, PostgreSQL on AWS.
• Design for multi-tenancy, including isolation, partitioning, and per-tenant config.
• Bake security into authentication, authorization, encryption, input validation, and API hardening.
• Profile, benchmark, and optimize performance across database, caching, and frontend.
