Job summary

CoreWeave in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the reliability and performance of our Kubernetes-based data platform. You will design and operate highly available, multi-region systems meeting strict uptime and latency targets.

You will scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, strengthen security, and contribute to testing and production readiness from day one. Collaboration with Platform & Infrastructure Engineering is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Platform/Infrastructure Engineering or similar distributed systems work.
• Experience with data platforms and data-intensive workloads.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise for cluster design, ops, and troubleshooting.
• Proven CI/CD experience with Argo CD or GitHub Actions.
• Ownership of mission-critical systems with high availability (≥99.99%).
• Experience in developing large-scale distributed systems and databases.
• Designing geo-replicated, active-active multi-region architectures.
• Strong observability skills (metrics, logging, tracing).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Helm, Terraform, or Pulumi).
• Performance tuning and capacity planning in distributed environments.
• Cloud-native security practices including secrets and network policies.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of reliability and performance of the Kubernetes-based data platform.
• Architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems meeting uptime and latency standards.
• Scale infrastructure and optimize deployment pipelines.
• Strengthen security posture and incident response, including blameless postmortems.
• Contribute to testing and ensure production readiness from day one.
