Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the reliability and performance of its Kubernetes‑based data platform. You will architect and operate highly available, multi‑region systems designed for stringent uptime and low latency, spanning scaling infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and security improvements.

You will contribute to building scalable systems production‑ready from day one, overseeing incident response, SLI/SLO/SLA definition, and capacity planning, while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Data Platform Experience with data workloads and distributed processing/streaming frameworks (Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Flink).
• Kubernetes cluster design, day-to-day operations, and production troubleshooting in containerized environments.
• CI/CD pipelines using Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
• Production ownership of mission-critical systems with high availability (≥99.99%).
• Distributed systems development across large-scale databases and backend APIs.
• Multi-region, geo-replicated active-active architectures with traffic routing and failover strategies.
• Observability expertise using metrics/logging/tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• IaC tooling with Helm, Terraform, or Pulumi and automated environment provisioning.
• Performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization in distributed environments.
• Cloud-native security practices including secrets management and network policy controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end reliability and performance of the Kubernetes-based data platform.
• Architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems meeting uptime and latency targets.
• Scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and strengthen security posture.
• Build, test, and manage scalable systems that are production-ready from day one.
• Define and monitor SLI/SLO/SLA, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
