Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff level Platform Engineer to join a fast, collaborative team responsible for Privileged Access Management infrastructure. You will own end-to-end delivery of secure, enterprise-grade systems and work closely with security, architecture, and operations teams.

In this role, you will design and implement cloud-based infrastructure using Kubernetes/EKS on AWS, drive microservices adoption, and mentor junior engineers while upholding high coding standards and security practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development in Go, Java, or C++
• 4+ years with PostgreSQL or relational databases
• Cloud infrastructure and IaC experience
• Strong system design and multi-tenant architecture
• Agile software development familiarity

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI pair-programmers to accelerate PAM product development
• Contribute to FedRAMP initiative
• Design and deliver cloud-based infrastructure on Kubernetes/EKS, AWS
• Drive evaluation, development, and rollout of microservices
• Operate, support, and scale shared services as usage grows
• Mentor junior developers and lead design/code reviews
• Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security and operations engineers
