Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff level Platform Engineer to join a fast, collaborative team building privileged access management (PAM) solutions. You will accelerate secure, enterprise-grade PAM development using AI pair-programmers, contribute to FedRAMP initiatives, and shape cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, and related tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; master's preferred.
• 7+ years in modern languages (Go, Java, C++), with Go preferred.
• 4+ years with PostgreSQL and database design.
• Strong cloud/enterprise backend experience.
• Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, Docker.
• Familiarity with IaC, CI/CD, security practices, and compliance.
• REST API design and integration.
• Agile software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Leverage cutting-edge AI pair-programmers to accelerate development of PAM products.
• Act as a core contributor to Okta’s FedRAMP initiative.
• Design, develop and deliver cloud-based infrastructure on Kubernetes/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, etc.
• Drive evaluation, development, and rollout of microservices.
• Operate, support, and upgrade shared services and frameworks and scale them with growing business.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security and operations teams.
