Job summary

AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Engineer to own and evolve our CI/CD architecture and developer experience. You will lead delivery tooling across cloud-native platforms, contribute hands-on in Go and Python, and partner with global teams to raise delivery quality and velocity.

You'll champion progressive delivery, canary deployments, and automated rollbacks while embedding AI-assisted workflows into the SDLC for a world‑class internal developer portal and platform engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles focused on CI/CD and delivery.
• Ownership of a CI/CD platform at admin and architecture level, including security, configuration, and enablement.
• Proven ability to design and operate delivery systems at scale.
• Hands-on development with Go and production-quality Python.
• Passion for progressive delivery practices: canary deployments & automated rollbacks.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Interest in using AI to improve engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across teams.
• Nice to have: built/maintained an IDP in production.
• Nice to have: experience in both Software and Platform Engineering teams.
• Nice to have: understanding of RBAC and OAuth.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve CI/CD architecture and the developer-facing experience.
• Drive improvements to pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.
• Define paved paths for product teams to ship fast and safely.
• Own the delivery process end-to-end, from code merge to production.
• Champion progressive delivery practices: canary deployments & automated rollbacks.
• Build tooling to make deployments observable, repeatable, and self-service.
• Own and evolve the Internal Developer Portal and its self-service experience.
• Partner with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while owning developer-facing delivery.
• Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows to boost productivity.
