Job summary

Cast & Crew is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to anchor our platform engineering practice. You will own CI/CD pipelines, AWS EKS clusters, and the developer tooling used by hundreds of engineers daily, operating with autonomy and raising the bar across teams.

Responsibilities include designing IaC with Terraform, enforcing GitOps, improving reliability with New Relic, mentoring engineers, and guiding architecture decisions. The role emphasizes incident response and scalable platform creation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience, with at least 2 years at Staff/Principal level.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes/EKS experience including troubleshooting at scale.
• Strong command of Azure DevOps Pipelines and YAML pipeline authoring.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD for microservices with multiple teams.
• Observability experience with tools like New Relic or Datadog.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/Bash/Go) and IaC (Terraform/Pulumi/CDK).
• Familiarity with feature flags and progressive delivery patterns.
• Excellent written communication and ability to document complex infra decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Own health and evolution of AWS EKS clusters.
• Design and enforce IaC practices and GitOps patterns.
• Leverage observability data to drive reliability improvements.
• Define golden-path templates for containerized workloads and onboarding.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions across teams.
• Handle incident escalation and participate in on-call rotations.
