Job summary

the company is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our platform engineering practice, with deep ownership of Kubernetes infrastructure. This individual‑contributor role defines architecture, standards, and paved roads to make infrastructure easier to consume while ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.

You will work across distributed teams, shaping platform reliability, observability, and cost optimization as we support AI/ML workloads and multi‑cluster

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years DevOps/platform/infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with AWS and GCP cloud infrastructures.
• GitOps experience with Argo CD or Flux.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform or Pulumi.
• Knowledge of Istio/Linkerd/Cilium service mesh.
• Experience supporting ML/AI workloads on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and roadmap for multi-cluster Kubernetes platform.
• Establish GitOps deployment workflows using Argo CD or Flux.
• Design internal developer platform for self-service access to compute, environments, and observability.
• Architect service mesh, networking, and ingress strategies for reliability and security.
• Define GPU/ML workload scheduling and resource management on Kubernetes.
• Partner with AI/ML teams on infrastructure requirements.
• Drive capacity planning and cost optimization across Kubernetes and cloud infra.
• Set technical direction and review architecture for platform changes.
• Define platform reliability via SLOs, incident response, and postmortems.
• Mentor engineers and participate in cross‑organisational decisions.
• Influence teams toward platform standards without direct reporting authority.
