Job summary
Meijer Inc. is seeking a pharmacist to join its Meijer Pharmacy team in Michigan. The role focuses on patient-centered care, responsible prescription filling, and clinical services to advance Meijer’s patient care philosophy.
The pharmacist will educate patients, ensure compliance with laws, and lead pharmacy operations when the pharmacist in charge is absent. A Doctorate of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy is required, with a state license and immunization certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of practice.
- Doctorate of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy required.
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist certification (Indiana exception).
- Retail/Community Pharmacy experience.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and policies.
Responsibilities
- Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
- Educate and mentor patients on medications and immunizations.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and Meijer policies.
- Build positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
- Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
