Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team. You will ensure safe, accurate dispensing and uphold patient care standards.

In this role you will educate staff, oversee operations in the pharmacist in charge absence, and support immunization services and clinical offerings.

Strong knowledge of state regulations, retail practice, and Meijer policies are essential; experience in community pharmacy preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana)
• Retail/Community Practice.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and understanding of regulatory in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Know and apply Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Organize workload effectively and stay prioritized.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs; deliver customer service.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
• This job profile may include other duties as assigned.
