Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a licensed pharmacist for an overnight 7 on 7 off schedule. You will perform distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to support patients and staff, review and monitor medication therapy, and supervise pharmacy technicians.

The role requires graduation from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy (Bachelor’s or higher) and Georgia pharmacist licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist; licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, dispenses and monitors medication therapy for various age groups; provides patient-focused clinical activities throughout the hospital.

Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
