Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a licensed pharmacist for an overnight 7 on 7 off position. The role covers distribution, compounding and patient-focused medication therapy across infant to geriatric patients, with supervision of technicians to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Candidates must graduate from an ACPE-accredited program and hold a Georgia pharmacist license. Hospital experience is preferred but not required, with emphasis on competency and ongoing professional

Competenze

• Overnight shift scheduling experience is not required but there may be shift pattern constraints.

Overview

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications

This is an overnight 7 on 7 off pharmacist position.

Education

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
