Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a pharmacist for an overnight 7 on 7 off schedule to support hospital operations and patient care.

The role includes reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring medication therapy across all age groups, supervising pharmacy technicians, and ensuring safe, effective medication use within a busy hospital setting. Georgia licensure is required upon hire, with ACPE-accredited degree.

Competenze

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia (PHARMD) upon hire.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Overview

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
