Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team. This role focuses on safe prescription fulfillment, patient education, and leadership within the pharmacy to advance patient care.

The incumbent will supervise technicians, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in immunization services; strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures, regulatory understanding for the state of operation.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Operate in accordance with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Organize workload efficiently and prioritize tasks.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs; provide customer service.
• Be responsible for pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.

• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
