Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy seeks a licensed pharmacist to deliver safe, patient-centered care, including immunizations, under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge. You will educate technicians, maintain relationships with patients and staff, and ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state and federal regulations.

The role requires D.Pharm or B.S. in Pharmacy, active licensure in the practice state, and familiarity with retail pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Must be registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana) preferred.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at high levels.
• Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
• Demonstrate effective communication and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain strong organizational skills and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs; provide customer service.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
