Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Indiana. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, mentor technicians, and ensure compliant operations. You will foster strong relationships with patients and staff while expanding clinical services such as immunizations.

Required are a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, active state licensure, and experience in retail pharmacy. Immunization certification is noted, with Indiana exceptions as described.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Registered and licensed to practice in the state.
• Immunization pharmacist certification required except in Indiana.
• Retail/Community pharmacy practice experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold technicians accountable and help grow the business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at their best.
• Be compliant with Meijer policies and applicable laws.
• Communicate effectively and drive positive change.
• Organize duties and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs.
• In absence of the pharmacist in charge, manage pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
• Other duties as assigned.
