Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Ohio is seeking a licensed pharmacist to fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, and maintain strong relationships with patients and staff. You will supervise pharmacy technicians, uphold Meijer policies, and drive the pharmacy forward in patient care. Required: Pharm.D.

or B.S. in Pharmacy and licensure in the state; Immunization certification; retail/community practice experience; solid knowledge of pharmacy systems and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or BS in Pharmacy and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community pharmacy experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and mentor them.
• Educate and mentor technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to pharmacy operations as needed.
• Organize workload and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Listen to patients and address their needs and concerns.
• Oversee clinical services like immunizations when applicable.

This position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy, promote patient care and education. This person must be patient directed, clinically oriented, and have a vision to take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.

• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
