Qualifications

• US citizenship requirement; non-citizens only if no qualified citizens available
• MD or DO degree from VA-approved school
• Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine
• Residency in approved core specialty leading to board eligibility
• ABMS/AOA board certification preferred for faculty
• Excellent English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Open continuous vacancy; qualified candidates considered as vacancies arise
• Perform open-line clinical pathology duties including surgical pathology interpretation
• Provide cytology interpretation with ROSE as needed
• Participate in QA programs and committee work
• Potential role as Medical Director of a laboratory section
• On-call responsibilities evenings/weekends as required
• Adhere to all federal, VA directives and accreditation standards
