The Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV seeks a physician to join Diagnostics Service, providing anatomical and clinical diagnostic information to providers within the Laboratory Services, which include Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.

The ideal candidate will be board certified or eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, hold an unrestricted US license, have completed an ACGME/AOA accredited residency, and be prepared for hospital committee work, QA, and 24-hour

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for VA appointment.
MD or equivalent in allopathic/osteopathic medicine from approved school.
Current full and unrestricted license to practice in the United States.
Completed residency in an approved core specialty.
Board certified or eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Responsibilities

Participate in department duties to maintain JC and CAP accreditation.
Perform gross descriptions, sampling, and reporting of surgical and bone marrow specimens.
Assist with intraoperative consultations and rapid reporting.
Provide 24-hour call coverage for Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs.
Schedule: 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
